nissan tea tumbler

I just picked up the Thermos Stainless Steel Tea Tumbler at my local coffee shop. I ended up with the 12 ounce size, and at first glance, the construction seems quit durable. It is basically a normal double walled vacuum coffee mug, but has 3 different attachments. I am not an avid tea drinker, so this is all trial and error at the moment. I also purchased a 1/4 pound of decent smelling loose tea and a few infusers to put in ‘normal’ coffee mugs. So, I had the staff ring me up and had them fill it with hot water. I placed an amount of tea (which I thought was appropriate) into the bare mug portion with the hot water. Next, I screwed in the stainless screen mesh then lid. I tested the mug’s water tightness by shaking the mug upside down and not a drop came out. I proceeded to take a sip of tea but the water was extremely hot, so i decided to wait. I finally had to transfer my tea into a paper cup because the tea was not cooling off! The manufacturer states on the packaging that it will keep warm for 6 hours and cool for 10. I will test further on my commute to work on Monday.

Virtually unbreakable, this lightweight, vacuum-insulated thermos travels to work or your favorite recreation spot. On arrival, and for hours afterward, coffee, tea, or soup will still be hot. Or lemonade, pasta salad, or a sports drink will still be chilled. Compact (7 inches high) and shapely, this thermos has a “waist” for firm gripping indented in its satin-finish exterior and tough, nonslip, black plastic top and bottom. There’s a choice of two twist tops, one for coffee and another, with a stainless steel strainer, for tea–each has a sip-hole, and a cap twists onto either to prevent spills. Fine threading ensures tops and cap seal tightly, while the smooth interior cleans with sponge or cloth. Preheating or prechilling with hot or cold water is recommended.
